Soft Grey gloves are finished

the dove-grey
fingerless gloves
are finished - and so deliciously soft.
If you think that they look a bit
too big for me in the photos,
you are correct.
They are made to be a bit large for my
hands because I have small hands.
And i won't be keeping these gloves.

Pattern, Fetching, from Knitty.

Saturday

The Knitting Companion has been
enjoying the wonderful weather this past week.
The garden has been in full bloom.

That is, until someone
(Not the Knitting Companion,
but someone

who shall remain nameless)
ripped out all of the tall, wavy, bendy flowers
because he felt they were "messy".
And "in the way".

The companion and i
have a very green garden still,
but now without benefit of any
blooms. I think it's very sad and
just plain wrong.

whats up here & there ...

Now, in
Fibre news:
don't forget that Ontario's own city of Kitchener
is hosting the Knitter's Fair
on September 9. This is a terrific fibre
event that you won't want to miss. (so i've been
told by reliable sources)

Julie, whom you may know
from "A really good yarn" is the same
Julie of the Needle Emporium.
She has tons of new yarn
in her lovely Ontario shop (& yes, does ship things
out no matter where you are).

Rowan's latest huge magazine (number 40 ) is out now.
Do you have a copy yet ?

the green gloves are finished ...
they've been knit extremely tight as a
test sample. They are velvety soft.
Quite delicious.

Love the one you're with

......As Bejamin Franklin said: "Marry in haste, repent at your
leisure".

a good friend of mine is getting married.
She told me "it was inevitable".
how sad is this ? ?
Shouldn't people get married
because they're in love and they want to?
Apparently, not everyone shares my viewpoint.

Sunny Monday

Today the blog is
really not in the mood
to be accepting photos. I've tried twice.
Why should it be so stressed on a Monday ?

There are some gloves, finished and in-the-works
to show this week.

Heads up:
this friday is the first of September.
tick, tick, tick.
i still have projects &
proposals to get out the door.
Maybe we'll be able to have photos
later on. in the meantime i have
paperwork to contend with.
I could really use a nice cold drink.

Now it's back to work.
